Thames Valley AT - improving eye health and reducing sight loss - a call to action

July 23, 2014 19:00 - 21:30

Bisham Abbey, Bisham, SL7 1RT

NHS England wants to find out the best way to develop and integrate community eye health services, so they have invited you to a Call to Action event so you can join the debate and help shape their local decisions:

  • Should we be developing a more preventative approach to Eye Health?
  • Who should have their eyes tested and how often?
  • Should we look at moving care out of hospitals and into community? Do local community practices have the skills and appetite required to offer more eye health services or are they better to concentrate on dispensing spectacles?

NEXT STEPS:

To stimulate debate in local communities, the Thames Valley Area Team is holding two engagement events giving you the chance to add your ideas and views to the Thames Valley response.  The events will also provide information about your Local Eye-health Network and you will be able to meet members of the Area Team and network with your colleagues across primary, secondary and voluntary sectors.

If you have any colleagues who would like to attend please could your forward this to them.  We will send an agenda to all confirmed attendees in advance of the event.

Click here for further information and the booking form.

Please send your booking form to Frances Ramsay.

Registration and buffet at 6.30pm.
