New podcast explores refreshed pathway for people with learning disabilities

14 September 2020

The latest LOCSU podcast, available to download now, explores the issues people with learning disabilities face in accessing eye care and how these issues are being addressed in the refreshed LOCSU pathway which will be published imminently.

LOCSU is working in partnership with SeeAbility, Mencap, ABDO and WOPEC to refresh the pathway and associated training resources

On this podcast, LOCSU’s Richard Whittington and Zoe Richmond are joined by Lisa Donaldson, SeeAbility Head of Eye Health and Grace McGill, one of SeeAbility’s Eye Care champions. Grace describes at first hand the challenges faced by people with learning disabilities and how some of the relatively simple changes included in the pathway will make a huge impact on this hard-to-reach audience.
