LOCSU Helps With Your Continuing Professional Development as New CPD Cycle Starts

LOCSU and WOPEC

The new continuing professional development (CPD) cycle has started. Like CET the newly launched CPD is points-based and runs over a three-year cycle, with the current cycle running from the start of this year until 31 December 2024.

To support implementation and delivery of extended primary care pathways, LOCSU works with WOPEC to offer training courses, all of which attract CPD points, available to Optometrists and Dispensing Opticians through their LOC.

Full LOCSU-WOPEC lecture series:

  • Minor Eye Conditions Service (MECS). 7 lectures, 7 CPD points
  • Glaucoma Services. 4 lectures, 4 CPD points
  • Cataract Services. 5 lectures, 5 CPD points
  • Low Vision. 10 lectures, 10 CPD points
  • 5 lectures and 4 key feature scenarios, 7 CPD points
  • Eyecare Services for People with a Learning Disability. 6 lectures, 6 CPD points
  • 4 lectures and 1 case scenarios, 5 CPD points
