LOCSU funds more Leadership Training

LOCSU has announced the names of 10 community eye health professionals who will receive funding for their place on the only specialist leadership skills course for the optical sector.  LOCSU’s Leadership Skills for Optical Professionals course will be running for its second year from March 2013 and the full list of funded places for the course, which will be held at the Wales Optometry Postgraduate Education Centre (WOPEC), is below.

  • Angela Henderson (North of Tyne)
  • Adam Holliday (Nottinghamshire)
  • Chris Newall (Dorset)
  • Frances Ramsey (Oxfordshire)
  • Hayley Rowbotham (Ashton, Leigh & Wigan)
  • Nizz Sabir (Rotherham & Barnsley)
  • Stewart Townsend (Staffordshire)
  • Clare Young (East Lincolnshire)

Dharmesh Patel, LOCSU Optical lead, will be joining the 2013 cohort.  

LOCSU's Leadership Skills for Optical Professionals is a 20-credit postgraduate model and part of WOPEC's MSc programme at Cardiff University.
